Artist Agreement

1. Permission to Display Artwork in Online Gallery
By participating in the workshop, you grant The Chicago Collage Project the right to display your Artwork in our online gallery. You will be credited as indicated in your workshop registration, either by name, social media handle, or as "Anonymous" if you choose to remain unidentified. You reserve the right to request to remain anonymous at any time, and The Chicago Collage Project will update the gallery to reflect your preference.

2 .Permission to Use Artwork for Marketing
You agree to allow The Chicago Collage Project to use images of your Artwork, your name (if applicable), and any photos taken during the workshop for marketing and promotional purposes. This may include social media, the project’s website, printed materials, or other public platforms. Your work will only be used to promote The Chicago Collage Project and its related activities.

3. Editing and Modification of Artwork
You grant The Chicago Collage Project the right to make reasonable edits to the digital version of your Artwork, including but not limited to cropping, resizing, and removing imperfections, for the purpose of preparing it for publication or merchandise production. These edits will be made with respect to the original Artwork’s integrity.

4. Permission to Use Artwork in Project Publications
By participating in the workshop and permitting your artwork ("Artwork") to be scanned and/or photographed, you grant The Chicago Collage Project a non-exclusive, irrevocable right to reproduce, publish, and distribute the Artwork in products and publications that showcase and support the project, including but not limited to The Chicago Collage Project Book. These publications may be sold to fund future projects. You acknowledge that no further compensation will be provided for the use of your Artwork in these publications. However, you retain rights to your original work outside of this agreed use.

5. Use of Artwork in Merchandise and Royalties
If The Chicago Collage Project elects to use your Artwork for commercial merchandise (e.g., clothing, posters, cards), you will be notified via email. If no response is received within 15 days of notification, The Chicago Collage Project will retain the right to use the Artwork for merchandise for a period of 3 years from the end of the 15-day grace period. During this time, if you respond, you will retain the right to either decline the use of your Artwork or participate in a royalty agreement. If you respond after the grace period, The Chicago Collage Project will maintain the right to continue using the Artwork but agrees to establish a fair royalty agreement with you for any retroactive and future sales. You retain rights to your original work outside of this agreed use.
